COLUMBUS – The Longhorns pulled a non-region victory in overtime Tuesday to win the Columbus Classic.

Musa Thompson was named the tournament MVP for Lambert (2-1).

South Forsyth 54, Marist 41

COMMERCE – Evan Cole had 19 points and 12 rebounds as the War Eagles earned a non-region victory Tuesday to win the East Jackson Thanksgiving Tournament.

Santhosh Saravanan added 18 points for South.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lambert 52, Lanier 40

SUGAR HILL – M.E. Craven had 17 points as the Lady Longhorns earned a non-region victory Tuesday to win the Lanier Thanksgiving Tournament.

Craven was named the tournament’s MVP, while Jaleah Greene, who added eight points and 12 rebounds, was named to the all-tournament team for Lambert (3-0).

North wins Hillgrove Duals

POWDER SPRINGS – The Raiders went 5-0 to win the Hillgrove Duals on Tuesday hosted by Hillgrove High School.

North defeated Riverwood (65-12), Hillgrove (46-18), Rutland (67-12) and North Gwinnett (49-24) before defeating Pope (64-12) in the finals.
