BOYS BASKETBALL

Forsyth Central 60, Pickens County 32

JASPER – Hunter McDonald had 18 points and nine rebounds as the Bulldogs started their season off with a non-region victory Tuesday on the road.

CJ Smith had 15 points and six assists for Central (1-0), while Ethan Hester added 11 points and six rebounds.

Lumpkin County 49, North Forsyth 45

DAHLONEGA – Connor Stephenson had a game-high 18 points but the Raiders dropped a non-region game Tuesday on the road.

Matt Aeschliman added nine points for the Raiders (0-2).

Tallulah Falls 61, Pinecrest Academy 32

Ryan DiFazio had 10 points but the Paladins dropped a non-region game Tuesday on the road.

Colby Mangan added nine points for Pinecrest (0-1), while Hank Lynch grabbed eight rebounds.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Pickens County 61, Forsyth Central 54

JASPER – Gina Fishler had 16 points but the Lady Bulldogs dropped a non-region game Tuesday on the road.

Maria Hansen added 15 points for Central (0-1).

North Forsyth 55, Lumpkin County 44

DAHLONEGA – Freshman Caroline Martin had a team-high 17 points as the Lady Raiders earned a non-region victory Tuesday on the road.

Cassie Markle added 10 points and 12 rebounds for North (2-0).

South Forsyth 47, Roswell 30

ROSWELL – Zoe Maisel had 23 points as the Lady War Eagles started their season off with a non-region victory Tuesday at home.

Sara Idris had 10 points for South (1-0), while Emily Dreslinski added eight.

West Forsyth 62, Central Gwinnett 54

Abby Quincy scored 26 points as the Lady Wolverines started their season off with a non-region victory Tuesday at home.

Kalie Schlegel added 14 points for West (1-0).
