BASEBALL

Forsyth Central 3, Riverwood 2

Parker Biederer went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and four stole bases as the Bulldogs got a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B victory Monday at home in nine innings.

Parker Morrison got the win for Central (7-4, 6-1) in relief of Reed Clark who struck out 12.

Robbie Repasz added a home run.

BOYS GOLF

West Forsyth at West Hall Invitational

BRASLETON – Robert Shaw shot 73 to finish second and lead the Wolverines to a runner-up finish at the West Hall Invitational at Chateau Elan on Saturday.

Austin Amburgy shot a 76 to help West score 314.

GIRLS GOLF

Hannah Walker at Georgia Peach Invitational

Forsyth Central’s Hannah Walker shot a 40 at Country Land Golf Course to earn an invitation to the Georgia Peach Invitational Tournament this past Saturday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

West Forsyth at Dogwood Classic

ATLANTA – The Lady Wolverines went 2-1 at the Dogwood Classic at Westminster this past weekend.

West defeated Kentucky Country Day (Ky.), 10-8, and St. George (Tenn.), 11-8, two teams both ranked in the top 10 in their respective states by Laxpower.com.

The Lady Wolverines dropped a close 11-7 game to host Westminster.

Sarah Grady led West with 11 goals during the event, while Monica Martelli had eight.

Other scores: Johns Creek 15, South Forsyth 14 (2OT).

BOYS TRACK

Lambert at Flowery Branch Invitational

FLOWERY BRANCH – Mason Lord finished second in the pole vault to help the Longhorns come in eighth out of 19 teams at the Flowery Branch Invitational on Saturday.

Lord won the event clearing 13 feet 6 inches.

Brett Kunich finished fourth in the discus (117-0.25). Lambert’s 3,200 relay team came in fifth (8:45.59).

North Forsyth at Parkview Invitational

LILBURN – Coleton Holzer won the high jump to lead the Raiders to an 11th-place finish out of 21 teams at the Parkview Invitational on Saturday.

Holzer won the event clearing 6 feet 6 inches.

Jamal Davenport came in fifth in the shot put (44-1), while Dallas Haynes finished sixth in the long jump (20-3.5).

GIRLS TRACK

Forsyth Central at Flowery Branch Invitational

FLOWERY BRANCH – Taliyah Manning threw 103-5 to finish third in the discus at the Flowery Branch Invitational on Saturday.

Manning also came in sixth in the shot put (31-5.5) to help the Lady Bulldogs finished 17th out of 21 teams

Lambert at Flowery Branch Invitational

FLOWERY BRANCH – The Lady Longhorns’ 3,200 relay team came in second in 10:35.46 to help Lambert finish 10th of 21 teams at the Flowery Branch Invitational on Saturday.

Lambert also got a strong performance from Kaylee Stilwell, who came in third in the 3,200 (12:36.81).

North Forsyth at Parkview Invitational

LILBURN – Sidney Gonzalez threw 30-8 in the shot put to help the Lady Raiders come in 12th out of 19 teams at the Parkview Invitational on Saturday.

Marissa Marino came in sixth in the 3,200 (13:25.61), while North’s Emily Bergman, Katelin Simpson and Madison Booher all cleared 7-6 in the pole vault to come in sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.
