Lambert's boys basketball team scored 71 points Friday for the second time in as many games, topping North Forsyth 71-65.
The Longhorns led 38-30 at halftime behind a 25-point second quarter, which was capped by a 3-pointer by senior Luke Champion before the buzzer.
Lambert (12-7, 2-2 Region 5-7A) has won three straight and six of its past seven games and will travel to West Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
North Forsyth (5-14, 0-4 Region 5-7A) will try to snap its four-game skid at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when the Raiders travel to Forsyth Central.
Pinecrest Academy 56, King's Ridge 35
Pinecrest Academy swept the season series with King's Ridge on Friday, beating the Tigers 56-35.
Sophomore Tony Carpio led the Paladins with 18 points, adding four rebounds and three blocks. Sophomore Oscar Lynch had 15 points, three rebounds and three steals, while sophomore JJ Hayes chipped in nine rebounds, six assists and four points.
The Paladins (10-8, 6-4 Region 6-1A Private) will continue region play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday when they travel to Mount Paran.
North Forsyth 62, Lambert 12
North Forsyth ran its winning streak to 10 games Friday when the Raiders rolled over Lambert, 62-12.
Senior Ansley Allen scored a game-high 16 points, while senior Caroline Martin followed with 12. North held a 41-6 lead at halftime.
The Raiders (16-2, 2-1 Region 5-7A) will face two of the top teams in the region next week, beginning with a road trip to Forsyth Central at 6 p.m. Tuesday and ending Friday with a home tilt against West Forsyth.
Lambert (6-10, 1-3 Region 5-7A) will travel to West Forsyth at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
