Forsyth Central 15, North Springs 3
Rachel Fratt had seven goals and 11 ground balls to lead the Lady Bulldogs to an Area 3-AAAAA/A victory Friday at home.
Central improved to 2-12 overall and 1-4 in the area.
Madison Giddens, Lyndsay Kirby and Hannah Smith each scored two goals, while Maria Hansen and Lili Boyd each added a goal.
Lambert 3, Johns Creek 0
With its playoff hopes on the line, the Lady Longhorns came through in their Region 6-AAAAAA finale Friday at home.
Lambert improved to 10-6-0 overall and 4-3-0 in the region to pull into a tie with Chattahoochee and Johns Creek for third place.
Chattahoochee, which defeated Johns Creek and Lambert, will be the third seed, while the Lady Longhorns will be the fourth seed when the state tournament begins April 30.
Lambert got goals from Evan Boland, Catie Colbert and Delaney Fechalos.
South Forsyth 2 (7), North Forsyth 2 (6)
The Lady War Eagles outlasted the rival Lady Raiders in both teams’ Region 6-AAAAAA finale Friday at home.
South improved to 11-5-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the region, securing second place in the region and ensuring that the Lady War Eagles will host a first round state tournament game.
North fell to 6-9-1 and 0-7-0.
Blakely McDonald scored both goals for South.
Tiffany Raygor led the Lady Raiders with a goal and an assist. Olivia Dumphy added a goal for North. Goalkeeper Sarah Dintino had 15 saves.
West Forsyth 1, Alpharetta 0
Carsen Parker gave the Lady Wolverines the only goal they needed in their Region 6-AAAAAA finale Friday on the road.
West improved to 8-8-0 overall and finished region play at 3-4-0.
Parker scored in the 20th minute with an assist from Landen Bowman.
Lambert 2, Johns Creek 0
With a little help and strong defense, the Longhorns won their Region 6-AAAAAA finale Friday at home to capture the region title.
Lambert improved to 13-3-0 overall and finished 6-1-0 in the region.
Mitch Fandos scored in the 35th minute for the Longhorns. Cooper Coughlin added another goal in the 55th minute.
Lambert entered the night tied for first place with Centennial, who defeated the Longhorns on March 7.
But the Knights lost 1-0 to Chattahoochee to give Lambert the region championship.
South Forsyth 4, North Forsyth 1
Four different players scored to help the War Eagles clinch a state playoff berth Friday at home.
South improved to 8-9-0 overall and finished 4-3-0 in the region, tied for fourth with West Forsyth whom the War Eagles defeated on April 11.
North fell to 2-13-1 and 0-7-0.
South got goals from Owen Christiansen, Jonathan Heyman, Juan Sanchez and Drew Witalis.
Jeff Michaud scored the only goal for North with an assist by Ryan Herbert.
West Forsyth 4, Alpharetta 0
John Newman scored four goals to lead the Wolverines to a win in their Region 6-AAAAAA finale Friday at home.
West improved to 7-8-1 overall and finished 4-3-0 in the region.
Newman struck first in the 10th minute as the Wolverines took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Newman then erupted for three goals in the first 20 minutes of the second half to give West control.
