Forsyth Central 42, White County 32

CLEVELAND – Julie Richards had 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Lady Bulldogs got a non-region victory Friday in a holiday tournament at White County High School.

North Forsyth 51, Centennial 47

ROSWELL – The Lady Raiders came back from a 12-point halftime deficit to earn a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.

Haley Simpson led North (5-5, 4-3) with 21 points, while Amber Jones added 12 and Morgan Grindle had nine.

The Lady Raiders made nine 3s for the game.

Stewarts Creek 48, South Forsyth 46

NASHVILLE – The Lady War Eagles lost on a buzzer-beater 3 to drop a non-region game Friday in the She Got Game Classic at Blackmon High School.

Sarah Myers led South (8-2, 7-0 Region 6-AAAAAA) with 17 points. Emily Dreslinski had eight points, Mari Jonassen and Zoe Maisel each scored six and KK Storms added five points.


North starts strong at Coal Mountain Classic

The Raiders had nine wrestlers go undefeated on the first day as North defeated Forsyth Central (60-12) and Pike County (58-7) on Friday at home in the first day of the Coal Mountain Classic.

Cole Tenety, Spencer Dooley, Cedric Touchstone, Nathan Grimes, Jonathan Mercado, Connor Carroll, Hunter Loyd and Jackson Bardall all went 2-0 for North, while Walid Abdullahi and Brantley Little added wins for the Raiders.
