PREP ROUNDUP: North Forsyth wrestling wins Coal Mountain Classic

North Forsyth had three wrestlers win individual titles to capture the Coal Mountain Classic on Saturday at home.

Chase Tenety (120 pounds), Justin Lioti (132) and Zach Smith (220) won their respective weight classes to help the Raiders rack up 193.5 points, ahead of runner-up Gilmer (171.5).

Forsyth Central (122), West Forsyth (118) and Lowndes (116.5) rounded out the top five.

Cole Tenety (106), Jacob Nash (126), Nathan Grimes (138), Stevie Anthony (195) and Jackson Bardall (285) each finished in the finals of their weight classes, while Keigan Radake (182) finished third.

Caleb Troutt led Central with a first-place finsh at 160. Carson Pillow finished runner-up at 182); Hunter Kurowski (120), Nathan Kistler (132) and Stefan Lucien (145) finished third; and Miles Bankston (138) finished fourth.

West got individual titles from Denver Stonecheck (138) and Austin Sanders (195). Thomas Cooper (145), Bradley Clayton (220) and Hunter Jolly (285) each finished third while Jake Woodall (120) and Slaton Garner (160) finished fourth.

Lambert at McCallie Invitational

CHATTANOOGA – Payton Mitchell won the individual title at 106 as the Longhorns had a strong showing at the McCallie Invitational on Saturday in Chattanooga.

Eric Diemert placed second at 113, while Matthew Sheetz finished third at 120.
