BASEBALL

Forsyth Central 7, North Atlanta 3

Reed Clark struck out 10 in a complete game performance to help the Bulldogs win a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B game Monday at home.

Clark got the win for Central (10-4, 9-1) and allowed just one earned run on three hits.

Pierce Nufer and Jacob Phillips both went 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Wade Smith had a hit and two RBI. Robbie Repasz scored two runs.

Lambert 12, Johns Creek 1

JOHNS CREEK - Kyle McCann went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI as the Longhorns cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday on the road.

Cole Varner got the win for Lambert (10-5, 6-1) allowing just one run on four hits with four strikeouts in six innings of work.

Jeremy Johnson went 3-for-4 with an RBI and scored four times, while Seth Beer went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

North Forsyth 1, Alpharetta 0

Caleb Dixon was untouchable on the mound in a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday at home.

Dixon tossed a complete-game no-hitter for North (10-5-1, 8-2). It was the seventh no-hitter in program history, and the first since Mark Doll accomplished the feat in 2003 against Forsyth Central.

Dakota Chalmers and Zac Slaton each had two hits, but it was Matthew Heard who drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

South Forsyth 11, Northview 1

JOHNS CREEK – Max Schmal went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs as the War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday on the road.

South (8-8, 5-5) also got strong performances at the plate from Jordan McGriff (2-for-3, two RBI) and Michael Strait (2-for-4, RBI).

Caston McDonald got the win for the War Eagles. He allowed just one run on four hits over six innings while striking out four.

West Forsyth 8, Centennial 1

ROSWELL – Alec Wilson went 5-for-5 with a home run as the Wolverines got a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Monday on the road.

West (8-6, 7-2) also got strong performances from Mason McWhorter (3-for-4, two 2B), Nate Schmitz (three hits, two RBI), Chris Cullen (two RBI), Andrew Reynolds (RBI) and Bryar Hawkins (two hits).

Lucas Ellenburg got the win for the Wolverines, who also got strong pitching in relief from Tanner Chaffin and Jay Thompson.

BOYS LACROSSE

North Forsyth 15, Buford 1

Jack Connaughton had three goals and an assist as the Raiders cruised to a non-area victory Monday.

Sma Grogan added three goals for North (4-5, 0-4, Area 3-AAAAAA). Patrick Scales had two goals and an assist, while Tucker Brady, Justin Gibson, Brady Grindle and Garrett Patterson each scored one goal.

Raiders goalkeeper Jacob Day had eight saves.
