BASEBALL

Sequoyah 6, Forsyth Central 3

CANTON – Mitchell Gross struck out eight but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs dropped a non-region game Friday on the road.

Gross went four innings for Central. Jacob Holton led the Bulldogs at the plate with two hits.

Parkview 7, Lambert 3

LILBURN – Aidan McAllister struck out five in four innings but it wasn’t enough as the Longhorns dropped a non-region game Friday on the road.

Luis Dewendt suffered the loss for Lambert, allowing four runs on two hits in 1 2/3 innnings with two strikeouts. McAllister started the game, allowing three runs on just one hit.

The Longhorns got hits from Chris West, Josh McAllister, Bobby Gabriel, Brady Burroughs and Will Gabbert.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Lambert 10, Harpeth Hall 5

NASHVILLE – Gabby DiVirgilio had three goals, three groundballs and an assist as the Lady Longhorns earned a non-area victory Friday on the road.

Peyton Smith, Shelby Rumer and Jenna Humphries each added two goals for Lambert (5-0).

Morgan Berman made six saves in goal.

Pinecrest Academy 14, Greater Atlanta Christian 8

Molly Dankowski had seven goals and three assists as the Lady Paladins earned an Area 3-1/5A victory Friday on the road.

Sarah DiFazio added five goals and two assists for Pinecrest, while Nika Brown scored two goals.

South Forsyth 11, Peachtree Ridge 6

Camryn Klaus had six goals as the Lady War Eagles earned a non-area victory Friday at home.

South improved to 3-0 overall.

BOYS LACROSSE

Pinecrest Academy 8, Fellowship Christian 7

ROSWELL – Carson Holler scored the game-winning goal with one second left to give the Paladins an Area 3-1/5A victory Friday on the road.

Holler and Colin Spillane each had three goals for Pinecrest (3-0, 1-0), while Jack Binkley had two goals and an assist.

Drew Hendren made 12 saves in goal.

GIRLS SOCCER

Walker 2, Pinecrest Academy 1

Katherine Bernet scored the lone goal for the Lady Paladins in a Region 6-1A loss Friday at home.

Margaret Metz assisted on the goal for Pinecrest, playing in her first game since leading the school’s girls basketball team to the state quarterfinals.

 

BOYS SOCCER

Walker 4, Pinecrest Academy 2

Connor Sassine and Sebastian Cordoba scored goals but it wasn’t enough as the Paladins dropped their Region 6-1A opener Friday at home.

Stuart Jeans and Gabe Villar each had assists for Pinecrest.
