PREP ROUNDUP: Pinecrest Academy knocks off Mount Pisgah

Pinecrest Academy's boys basketball team forced Mount Pisgah to overtime last month during the two teams' first meeting before falling 71-65. Tuesday's game was different, though, as the Paladins traveled to No. 4 Mount Pisgah and toppled the Patriots, 59-56.

Sophomores Oscar Lynch and JJ Hayes finished in double figures, as Lynch had 16 points and six rebounds and Hayes finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Senior Caleb Bohn chipped in 15 points and three assists. 

The Paladins (10-9, 6-5 Region 6-1A Private) will host Walker at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Denmark 65, Blessed Trinity 58

Denmark swept the season series with Blessed Trinity on Tuesday, as the Danes topped the Titans 65-58.

Denmark trailed 48-45 entering the fourth quarter before a 20-point fourth quarter propelled the Danes to the win.

The Danes (15-4, 8-0 Region 7-4A) will travel to Dawson County at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Milton 78, South Forsyth 58

South Forsyth kept pace with Milton for most of Tuesday's game, but the War Eagles were outscored 19-6 in the fourth quarter as Milton eased to a 78-58 win.

South (12-8, 2-3 Region 5-7A) will travel to Lambert at 7:30 p.m. Friday.


South Forsyth 65, Milton 34

South Forsyth bounced back Tuesday with a 65-34 win against Milton.

The War Eagles (14-6, 2-3 Region 5-7A) will travel to Lambert at 6 p.m. Friday.
