Lambert 7, Northview 4

JOHNS CREEK – Rachell Cowart’s two-run double in the top of the seventh gave the Lady Longhorns the cushion they needed to pull out a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Kassidy Krupit earned the win on the mound for Lambert (14-9, 13-3), tossing a complete game.

North Forsyth 12, Centennial 0

Ashley Barton went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI as the Lady Raiders cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday at home to give head coach Bud Henderson his 100th career victory.

Courtney Walls got the win on the mound for North (20-6, 13-4), allowing no runs on one walk and two hits while striking out four in three innings.

Autumn Musgrave went 2-for-3, and Jamiee Davis was 1-for-3 with two RBI.

West Forsyth 7, Habersham Central 2

MT. AIRY – Bailley Concatto went 3-for-3 with two RBI as the Lady Wolverines got a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Tuesday on the road.

Hannah Guthrie got the win on the mound for West (16-9, 12-5), allowing two runs while striking out two in seven innings.

Hayla Seitz went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI for the Lady Wolverines, who also got RBI hits from Chelsea Coussan, Ashley Silvers and Carlie Behan (2-for-2).

Lauren Crowe also went 3-for-3, whiel Gracie Martin was 2-for-2.

VOLLEYBALL

Pinecrest Academy clinches state playoff spot

The Lady Paladins defeated Mt. Pisgah (25-19, 25-15) and lost to Mt. Vernon Presbyterian (25-19, 22-25, 24-26) in the Area 4-A tournament Tuesday on the road.

Adeline Seiferth led Pinecrest (19-16) with 20 kills to go along with eight digs. Vanessa Fowler had a team-best 32 assists, while Josie Sorohan had a team-high 21 digs.

The Lady Paladins also big contributions from Caroline Clark (five kills, four blocks, 12 aces), Tessa Stubbs (nine kills) and Annie Irlbeck (three kills, four blocks).

The win against Mt. Pisgah secured Pinecrest a spot in the Class A state playoffs.
