The Lady War Eagles stormed back from a halftime deficit to earn a non-area victory Friday at home.
South (1-1) trailed 9-4 at the half, but rallied to tie the game with 6 minutes left and take the lead for good three minutes later.

Forsyth Central 1, Flowery Branch 0
Julia Wagner scored in the first half and that’s all the Lady Bulldogs needed for a non-region victory Friday at home.
The win helped Central (1-3-0) halt a two-game losing streak to start the season.
Lambert 3, Chattahoochee 2
ALPHARETTA – Briarly Beauchamp scored two goals and the Lady Longhorns held on for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Maddie Eddleman added a goal and an assist for Lambert (3-1-0, 1-0-0).
West Forsyth 5, North Forsyth 0
Alyssa Robertson scored two goals and the Lady Wolverines cruised against the Lady Raiders in the teams’ Region 6-AAAAAA opener Friday at West.
Brooke Pirkle added a goal and two assists for the Lady Wolverines (1-2-0, 1-0-0). Madison Bowers scored a goal, and Landen Bowman had two assists.
BOYS SOCCER
Forsyth Central 4, Flowery Branch 1
The Bulldogs erupted for three second half goals and cruised to a non-region victory Friday at home.
Tied 1-1 at the half, Alejandro Romero gave Central (2-2-0) a lead it never relinquished.
Jose Aguilera and Jacob Sharp added goals for the Bulldogs.
Chattahoochee 3, Lambert 2 (PK)
Mac Shirley scored two goals but it wasn’t enough as the Longhorns lost a Region 6-AAAAAA game Friday on the road in penalty kicks.
No. 4-ranked Lambert fell to 2-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the region.
West Forsyth 1, North Forsyth 0
Kwaku Adu struck for the game’s only goal and the Wolverines survived for a win Friday at home in the team’s Region 6-AAAAAA opener.
West improved to 2-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the region. North dropped its third straight to fall to 2-3-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the region.
