MARIETTA – The Lady Wolverines’ bats went silent in a non-region loss Tuesday on the road.

West fell to 2-2 on the season.


Lambert sweeps three foes

HOSCHTON – Amanda Sinning had 20 kills as the Lady Longhorns defeated Hebron Christian (25-17, 25-16), Mill Creek (25-20, 25-19) and North Oconee (25-16, 25-21) on Tuesday on the road.

Lambert (7-1) also got offensive contributions from Madeleine Bertz (15 kills), Kailin Taggart (14 kills) and Kendal Barrett (54 assists). Jordyn Moellering had a team-high 22 digs.

North sweeps Johnson, North Hall

GAINESVILLE – Maddie Bryant had 10 kills, seven digs and seven assists as the Lady Raiders got wins against Johnson (25-16, 26-24) and North Hall (25-18, 25-23) on Tuesday on the road.

Bri Gilbert added nine kills and nine digs for North (3-2), Cassie Markle had eight kills and three blocks and Logan Taft had 23 assists. Marin Black had a team-best 24 digs.

Pinecrest opens season with two wins

Adeline Seiferth had 19 kills as the Lady Paladins got wins against Lanier (25-20, 25-18) and Northview (31-29, 25-16) on Tuesday at home in their season-opener.

Annie Reilly added nine kills for Pinecrest (2-0), Gabby Wesemeyer had 19 assists and six kills and Vanessa Fowler had 16 assists to lead the offense. Caroline Clark (seven blocks) and Josie Sorohan (19 digs) led Pinecrest’s defense.

South sweeps Harrison, Mountain View

Amanda Nugent had 24 kills as the Lady War Eagles defeated two teams they faced in the state playoffs last season Tuesday at home.

South (2-0) defeated Mountain View, 25-6, 25-11, and Harrison, 25-16, 25-27, 30-28.

Lily Kincaid had 17 kills, while Hannah McGlockton added 13. Nyah Pacely had 61 assists, and the Lady War Eagles were led on defense by Erin Yeatman (32 digs) and Savian Jordan (29 digs).

West falls to Johns Creek, North Gwinnett

JOHNS CREEK – The Lady Wolverines dropped non-area matches to Johns Creek (23-25, 6-25) and North Gwinnett (13-25, 21-25) on Tuesday on the road.

West fell to 4-2 on the season.
