North Atlanta 4, Forsyth Central 2
Parker Morrison struck out eight across six innings but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs lost a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B game Friday at home.
Central (10-6, 9-3) managed just four hits, led by Parker Biederer who had an RBI. Taylor Bauman walked twice.
The Bulldogs dropped a region series for the first time this season.
Lambert 12, Northview 2
JOHNS CREEK – JD Dutka had two doubles, a home run and three RBI as the Longhorns cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Seth Beer got the win for Lambert (13-5, 9-1) allowing two runs (one earned) over three innings with four strikeouts. Beer also went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI.
The Longhorns pounded out 17 hits as a team with standout performances from Bradley Leathers (2-for-3, two 2B, RBI), Chris Cummings (2-2, 2B, RBI) and Nick Guimbarda (1-1, two RBI).
South Forsyth 6, Johns Creek 4
JOHNS CREEK – Justin Graczyk had three hits and an RBI as the War Eagles held on for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Will Foy got the win for South (10-8, 7-5) allowing just one earned run across 4 2/3 innings of relief. Foy gave up just two hits and struck out three.
Michael Strait went 2-for-2 with an RBI, Alec Kliphouse was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Bradley Prince had two hits and scored a run. Alex Andronica and Jordan McGriff each drove in a run.
BOYS LACROSSE
West Forsyth 11, Riverwood 3
Reed Bagwell scored three goals and the Wolverines cruised to a non-area victory Friday at home.
Brooks Barber added two goals for the Wolverines (3-8, 0-5 Area 3-AAAAAA).
Other scores: Lambert 10, Lake Mary (Fla.) 6.
