Forsyth Central 11, Riverwood 2
ATLANTA – Taylor Bauman had a double and three RBI as the Bulldogs completed a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B series sweep Friday on the road.
Ryan Cox got the win for Central (11-3, 8-1), striking out four in four strong innings.
Luke Sutko added two RBI, and Parker Biederer had two runs scored.
Lambert 10, Chattahoochee 0
JOHNS CREEK – Harrison Leblanc went 2-for-3 with two RBI as the Longhorns cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Turner Scruggs got the win for Lambert (11-4, 8-1), allowing no runs on two hits while striking out two in four innings.
Kyle McCann was 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI, while Josh McAllister went 1-for-3 with a RBI.
West Forsyth 3, Alpharetta 1
ALPHARETTA – Thomas Arundale was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases to help the Wolverines earn a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Lucas Ellenburg got the win for West (9-6, 7-2), striking out three in six solid innings of work.
Jay Thompson added a hit and RBI.
BOYS LACROSSE
West Forsyth 29, North Forsyth 5
Reed Bagwell had 10 gales and two assists as the Wolverines cruised to an Area 3-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Jimmy Martelli added three goals and three assists for West.
GIRLS LACROSSE
North Forsyth 10, Whitewater 9
Cora Wallace had five goals as the Lady Raiders earned a non-area victory Friday.
North’s defense made all the difference, holding Whitewater to just one goal in the second half and helping the Lady Raiders come back from down seven at one point.
BOYS SOCCER
South Forsyth 2, North Forsyth 1
Adrian Garcia and Andrew Shah scored to give the War Eagles a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
Ryan Lessard had the assist for South (5-5, 3-3) on Garcia’s goal.
Holt Roberts had the lone goal for North (2-12, 0-7).
West Forsyth 3 (3), Northview 3 (1)
JOHNS CREEK - Three different players scored as the Wolverines earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road in penalty kicks.
West got goals from Matthew Adams, Graham Bowers and Freddy Hackney during regulation.
GIRLS SOCCER
South Forsyth 4, North Forsyth 0
Nikki Bario had two goals as the Lady War Eagles cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday on the road.
South (10-1, 5-1) also got goals from Addison King and Gabby Tanjuatco, while goalkeepers McKenna Galito and Courtney O’Malley shared the shutout.
West Forsyth 0 (4), Northview 0 (2)
JOHNS CREEK – The Lady Wolverines survived another penalty kick-thriller Friday on the road to remain in first place in Region 6-AAAAAA.
No. 10-ranked West (9-3-1, 6-0) earned a victory by the same formula against region contender Johns Creek this past Tuesday.
On Friday, Lady Wolverines goalkeeper A.J. Needham once again made the crucial saves when necessary to keep West unbeaten in the region.
