The Raiders were out-hit and committed more errors than their opponent but still managed a Region 5-7A victory Friday at home thanks to a five-run fifth inning.
Anthony DiMola got the win on the mound for the Raiders (12-3, 1-2), allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four in six innings.
Garrett Staton went 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Caleb Vercek had the only other hit for North, which drew eight walks against Milton pitchers.
Clayton Bardall, Nicky DalMolin, Evan Johnson and Carter Mullikin each had an RBI.
Pinecrest Academy 13, Landmark Christian 0
LAWRENCEVILLE – Will Patota went 3-for-3 with a double, grand slam and six RBIs as the Paladins cruised to a Region 6-1A victory Friday at Coolray Field, the home of the Atlanta Braves’ Triple-A affiliate Gwinnett Stripers.
Matthew Savage got the win for Pinecrest (8-8, 2-4), striking out four in five shutout innings.
Ben Gobbel went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI, while Caleb Bohn went 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Cambridge 20, Lambert 3
The Longhorns dropped an Area 5-6/7A game Friday at home in a rematch of last season’s state semifinal.
Jenna Humphries scored all three goals for Lambert (4-4, 2-2).
South Forsyth 14, Pinecrest Academy 6
Camryn Klaus had four goals, two assists and five draw controls as the War Eagles earned a non-area victory Friday at home.
Tatum Weiss added four goals for South (4-3), which led 11-2 at halftime. Izzy Parker had two goals and two draw controls, while the War Eagles also got goals from Morgan Hearn, Erin Murtha, Mackenzie Cole and Lauren Murtha. Kayla Casey made 10 saves in goal for South.
Molly Dankowski led Pinecrest (5-1) with five goals, while Ella Binkley and Alex Tilkin had a goal each.
West Forsyth 10, Starr’s Mill 9
FAYETTEVILLE – The Wolverines held on for a non-area victory Friday on the road.
West (7-2, 2-1 Area 5-6/7A) got offensive production from Madison Houlberg, Ella Madson and Cami Merkel. Tori Gadsen made several key saves down the stretch, and Charli Fagg had a game-saving ground ball late.
Pinecrest Academy 7, King’s Ridge 0
Seven different players scored for the Paladins in a Region 6-1A victory Friday at home.
Pinecrest (2-7-0, 1-2) got goals from Regina Metz, Sarah Brown, Allie Doerr, Sophia Alvarez Del Pino, Jaylynn Moreno, Olivia Gannon and Emily Buckley.

Gabe Villar had five goals as the Paladins cruised to a Region 6-1A victory Friday at home.
Ben Rivard added three goals for No. 4-ranked Pinecrest (6-3-1, 3-0), while Jake Lair and Connor Sassine each had a goal.
