Skinner ties for third at Georgia Top 60 Women's Classic

West Forsyth’s Isabella Skinner finished tied for third at the Georgia Top 60 Women’s Class at Rivermont Country Club on Thursday.

Skinner shot 2-under-par 142 to tie with Roswell’s Jessica Haigwood and finished four strokes behind Sydney Needham of Villa Rica. Skinner, a University of Georgia signee, shot 1-under-par 71s on both days.

The event was billed as an exclusive competition for the best of the best from the Georgia State Golf Association. Entries were limited to female amateur golfers who were GSGA members and had a USGA Handicap index of 15.0 of lower.

Lambert rising junior Kayley Marschke, who won the Class AAAAAA championship this past season, finished tied for 14th with a 6-over-par 150 (73-77), while South Forsyth rising sophomore Tiffany Kang finished tied for 16th with an 8-over-par 152 (73-79).
