Pinecrest Academy vs. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy

When, where: Wednesday, 4 p.m. at Eagle's Landing Christian

Records and seedings: Pinecrest is 14-3-0 and the No. 1 seed from Area 8-1A-Private; ELCA is 11-1-0 and the No. 1 seed from Area 4-1A-Private

What to know: And so they meet again: It was the Paladins that ended ELCA's season in 2018, also on the road in Henry County, and this looks like another strong matchup. Common matchups aren't particularly illuminating here: The Paladins lost to Wesleyan while the Chargers won, but the Chargers lost to Providence Christian while Pinecrest won that matchup 7-0.

What's next: Paideia or Athens Academy in the semifinals

Lambert vs. Peachtree Ridge

When, where: Wednesday, 6 p.m. at Lambert

Records and seedings: Lambert is 19-0-0 and the No. 1 seed from Region 5-7A; Peachtree Ridge is 12-5-1 and the No. 2 seed from Region 6-7A

What to know: Peachtree Ridge is not a bad team: The Lions had a strong run in a strong region, and against Parkview, the team that might be the greatest threat to Lambert's state title dreams, they lost 2-1. But it could take something truly special to take down a Longhorns team of this caliber, and there's nothing suggesting that the Lions are quite at that level.

What's next: Walton or Hillgrove in the quarterfinals

West Forsyth vs. North Gwinnett

When, where: Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. at North Gwinnett

Records and seedings: West is 11-6-1 and the No. 2 seed from Region 5-7A; North Gwinnett is 14-3-0 and the No. 1 seed from Region 6-7A

What to know: The Wolverines are coming into this one squarely behind the 8-ball: In these teams' first meeting of the season, back on Feb. 15, the Bulldogs won 5-0. But while consistency hasn't been West's best attribute this season, the Wolverines are coming into this matchup on a good run, having beaten Grayson 5-1 behind a dominant second half to open the playoffs. An upset seems unlikely, but not impossible.

What's next: Campbell or Camden County in the quarterfinals
