Black, a Georgia Tech commit, led the powerful offense of the Region 5-7A champion Raiders, hitting .457 with six home runs and 11 doubles. Segal was similarly successful, compiling a .476 average with 12 home runs, 31 RBIs and a .596 on-base percentage. Both teams won their first round state playoff series, with the Raiders beating Shiloh and the War Eagles topping Newton.
