Two Forsyth County players were named to the Georgia
Athletic Coaches Association All-State softball teams. North Forsyth junior
shortstop Mallorie Black made the first team, while South Forsyth sophomore
third baseman Makenna Segal made the second team.
South Forsyth's Makenna Segal has been one of the region's most fearsome hitters this year, and her production could be key to a War Eagles playoff run.

Black, a Georgia Tech commit, led the powerful offense of the
Region 5-7A champion Raiders, hitting .457 with six home runs and 11 doubles.
Segal was similarly successful, compiling a .476 average with 12 home runs, 31
RBIs and a .596 on-base percentage. Both teams won their first round state
playoff series, with the Raiders beating Shiloh and the War Eagles topping
Newton.
