The South Forsyth boys and girls swim teams swept the 7th Annual High School Invitational hosted by North Forsyth on Saturday at the Cumming Aquatic Center.

The girls had 710.5 points to edge West Forsyth (669). North finished third (494) followed by Buford (298.5) and Flowery Branch (292).

The boys had 590 points, enough to hold off North Forsyth (579). West finished third (526) followed by Mt. Vernon Presbyterian (331) and Buford (310).

West’s meet was highlighted by its girls 400-freestyle relay team of Avery Edelman, Lauren O’Donoghue, Jamie Riley and Sheridan Schreiber that broke the school record.

North had seven boys and four girls hit state-qualifying times along with its boys and girls 200 medley relay and 200 free relay teams.

Lambert gets season off to fast start

The Longhorns dominated the Hawaiian Luau Invite at Ruby Fulbright Natatorium hosted by Tallulah Falls on Saturday with 1,274 points, well ahead of the runner up team’s 395 points.

Lambert impressed with 20 state-qualifying times between boys and girls swimmers.
