South Forsyth senior Myles Ellis has committed to play football at Birmingham-Southern College.

Ellis announced his commitment Tuesday on Twitter.

Ellis was a first-team all-county selection this past for the War Eagles with 16 pass break-ups and two interceptions. He was a lock-down cornerback on a South defense that was tops in the county and among the best in Class 7A during the regular season.

Ellis would join a growing contingent of Forsyth County alum at the Birmingham school. Three were on the Panthers’ roster this past season in sophomore h-back Ford Hirsch (Lambert), freshman defensive back Jacob Woodard (Forsyth Central) and sophomore offensive lineman Will Andrews (North Forsyth). Forsyth Central wide receiver Mark Heard signed with the Panthers during the February signing period.

Birmingham-Southern went 3-7 overall and 2-6 in the Southern Athletic Association this past season.
