South Forsyth senior Richard Jordan recently announced his verbal commitment to play football at Missouri Southern State University.

The linebacker was a second-team all-FCN selection this past season, even though he missed four games to an injury suffered in the War Eagles’ season-opener against Roswell in the Corky Kell Classic. Once healthy, Jordan had 54 tackles with 12 for losses and two sacks in seven games, helping South win its second region title in the past three seasons.

Jordan would join a Missouri Southern program that competes in Division II’s Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and went 0-11 this past season.
