South Forsyth senior Marissa McAfee has committed to play soccer at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. The Tartans play in Division III, in the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

McAfee, who plays defender for the War Eagles, had one goal and two assists in 2017 and was named All-County second team. She helped South to the state semifinals, where the War Eagles lost to Grayson, although the Rams' win in that game was later vacated due to the use of an ineligible player.
