What to know: Both of these teams have been known for scoring a lot of points, but neither did a very good job of it last week. North and West scored just seven points in last week’s respective losses to South and Lambert, respectively. Still, this game offers North an opportunity to get a season-defining upset and ensure the avoidance of a losing record. North has not had a winning campaign since 2013. The Raiders have plenty of firepower to keep up with West, so the question will be if this will be another lopsided game—like the South game—or if the Raiders can keep up, like they did in a fireworks display against Lambert two weeks prior.
Meanwhile, West’s best chance of getting a home playoff game is to beat North and then South Forsyth next week in the season finale. That means cleaning up what has been an offensive dichotomy—pun intended on the offensive. West has had back-to-back games with at least eight offensive penalties and multiple turnovers. Last week the Wolverines were a yard away from making it the score 14-0 in their favor before a penalty and a turnover on consecutive plays turned the momentum of the game.
