When, where: Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at The Coliseum in Alpharetta.

Records, rankings: West is 3-2 overall, 1-1 in Region 6-AAAAAA and unranked; Johns Creek is 0-5, 0-2 and unranked.

Series record: West leads 1-0.

Last meeting: West won 37-16 in 2012.

What to know: West should enjoy an easy night against a winless Johns Creek squad. The Gladiators’ defense has allowed 39.8 points per game, which doesn’t bode well for a team whose offense hasn’t scored more than 13 points three times this season.

Quarterback Hampton McConnell has proved vital to West’s success. McConnell leads the county with 521 rushing yards and is second with 596 yards through the air. Trevor O’Brien, third in the county for rushing, has continued his stellar play with 448 rushing yards. The duo of McConnell and O’Brien is a nightmare for defensive coordinators, and that should be made evident tonight.
