Records, rankings: West is 6-2 overall, 4-1 in Region 6-AAAAAA and unranked; South is 7-1, 4-1 and unranked.

What to know: What’s at stake in this game is simple – the winner all but clinches second place in the region and the home playoff game that comes with it. For South, it’d be the first home playoff game since 2001. It would give West its third straight playoff opener at home. Both teams come in playing arguably their best football of the season. South has won three straight while averaging 39.3 points during that span. West has averaged 41.5 points during its four game winning streak.

By now, everyone knows the playmakers. South features the running back tandem of Isaiah Williams and Tyler LaFlamme, a veteran offensive line and emerging difference makers on defense like Manny Godswill and Drew Witalis. West is led by quarterback Hampton McConnell, running back Trevor O’Brien, center Andrew Marshall, defensive lineman Josh Davis and cornerback Nick Walker.
