When James A. Otwell Jr. and his wife Dorothy opened a small Chevrolet dealership on March 23, 1948, they probably never imagined it would still be going strong nearly eight decades later. Named after their two daughters — Patricia Anne and Sara Dean — Andean Chevrolet has grown from a modest lot across from the Cumming cemetery (on land that once housed Mr. Otwell's chicken coops, no less) into one of the most respected dealerships in North Georgia.
Today, under the leadership of Jim Otwell — who took over at just 20 years old after his father's passing in 1973 — Andean continues to operate with the same values the family built it on: fair deals, genuine customer care, and deep roots in the community.
