Forsyth County resident Conner Atkinson Poe has been named to the Leadership Georgia Class of 2014, according to a news release from the organization.
Poe is the executive director of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Georgia.
A 42-year-old organization of community and state leaders, Leadership Georgia is affiliated with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. It trains and builds a network of emerging young leaders from across the state.
Sixty-three participants are selected each year from a pool of several hundred applicants.
They will visit five Georgia communities — Brasstown Valley, Jekyll Island, Peachtree City, Rome and Valdosta — in a yearlong exchange of ideas and experiences about important issues affecting the state
The class will be led by incoming president Gretchen Corbin of Rome with a focus on “State of Giving.”
