Sawnee EMC has launched a new way for members to report street light issues through its Web site.

The system will also be included in Sawnee’s smart phone application suite, which is scheduled for launch soon.

According to a news release from Sawnee EMC, the new tool was developed to provide members and others with a quick and simple method to report any street light-related issue, including lights that are out, flickering or damaged.

Blake House, vice president of member services for Sawnee, said in a statement the feature will be helpful.

"We wanted an easy tool that our members, as well as local government officials, could use to report problems with street lights, so that we could address them in a timely manner," he said.

The street light tool can be accessed by going to Sawnee’s Web site, www.sawnee.com, and clicking on the "Report a Street Light Outage" link in the Quick Links section.

Any questions about the new tool should be addressed to Sawnee’s Customer Service Department at (770) 887-2363 or customerservice@sawnee.com.
