A south Forsyth incident that initiated a response from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies responded to Brands Hatch Boulevard Nov. 15 after initially receiving a report of a suicide threat, according to Deputy Doug Rainwater, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

“When we arrived, the man  wouldn’t come out,” he said. “We established communication on the phone and eventually talked him into coming out. He came out with a knife in hand so we used a bean bag shot to secure him.”

Rainwater said the man was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
