SOUTH FORSYTH — A two-vehicle crash Sunday night involving a young teenage driver from Cumming sent three people to the hospital with injuries that authorities described as serious but non-life threatening.

The collision occurred about 8 p.m. at Peachtree Parkway (Hwy. 141) and Brookwood Road in south Forsyth.

According Epifanio Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, a Ford Mustang, driven by a male 16-year-old, struck a Ford F250.

The teen was reportedly driving north on Hwy. 141 and hit the southbound pickup as he attempted to make a left onto Brookwood.

He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, as were the 57-year-old driver of the pickup and his passenger, both of whom are from Norcross.

Drugs and/or alcohol are not thought to be factors in the crash, Rodriguez said.

As of Tuesday, no charges had been filed.

One lane of Hwy. 141 was closed for about two hours Sunday night as crews worked to clear the scene.
