The deadline for home and private school students to take the Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test, or PSAT, is fast approaching.

“Forsyth County Schools provides PSAT opportunities to students currently enrolled in our district, as well as those in private or home school,” said Jennifer Caracciolo, system spokeswoman. “The PSAT is offered for a small fee for freshman and given to all enrolled sophomores.”

The test is offered by school, so deadlines vary.

For those living in the North Forsyth and South Forsyth high school districts, the deadline is Saturday.

Lambert High’s registration deadline is Tuesday, while Forsyth Central’s is Sept. 14.

West Forsyth’s registration begins Sept. 23 and runs through Oct. 10.

Home and private school students must register with the school in the district where they live and must have proof of residency as verification.

The test fee is $14, with checks made out to the school. To register, visit
