Due to the threat of winter weather, the Forsyth County school system will start two hours later on Friday.

In making the announcement, the district noted that the delay could be extended into school closure once conditions are reviewed Friday morning. That decision will be made no later than 7:30 am.

With the delayed start, school buses will run with a two-hour delay pick-up schedule, according to the district.

All staff, unless otherwise directed by their department supervisor, should report two hours past their original start time.

Lunch will be served to students. All after-school programs and activities/athletics will proceed as scheduled today and Friday.

School start times for Friday:

* Elementary school I: 9:40 am

* Elementary school II:  10:20 am

* High school:  10:25 am

* Middle school:  11 am
