American Proteins recently presented the Lanier Technical College Foundation with a check for $9,000 to go towards the Bagwell Family Foundation Fund.

Tommy and Chantal Bagwell have provided this fund for Lanier Technical College students for the past six years.

Annette Shutters, the foundation’s advancement coordinator, accepted the check from Jonathan Green with American Proteins.

Russell Vandiver, president of Lanier Tech, said the support of “friends like Tommy and Chantal Bagwell are invaluable to our college.”

“Their support for our students goes above and beyond,” Vandiver said. “These funds help so many in need to receive a quality education and become productive members of our work force.”

Over the past six years, the Bagwell fund has been able to support 120 students continuing their education.
