Ice bucket challenge comes to Big Creek
ALS

SOUTH FORSYTH — Big Creek Elementary School students douse Principal Sherri Black with buckets of ice water Thursday.

They were inspired by the ice bucket challenge, a viral online video sensation aimed at promoting awareness of those suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

The school also donated $200 to an ALS foundation and challenged administrators and teachers at nearby Brookwood Elementary to do the same.
