The Forsyth County Historical Society’s Heritage Day, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to the fall.
Heritage Day, first held last year, features demonstrations of farm life, as well as a look at the historic Fowler House.
The more than 90-year-old home, however, is in need of some repairs, which required the schedule shift, said society co-president Martha McConnell.
“One of the porches needs some work on it,” she said. “We feel like it’s just not safe right now.”
McConnell said the county will handle the work, which should ready the house for the event in cooler fall weather.
