CUMMING — Get those cowboy boots ready for two evenings of toe-tapping Americana swing and country music this month at the Cumming Playhouse.

The Quebe Sisters, winner of the Western Swing Album of the Year from the Academy of Western Artists, will perform at 3 and 8 p.m. March 14.

Sisters Grace, Sophia and Hulda Quebe (pronounced Kway-bee) have taken the Americana music scene by storm with their refreshing blend of swing, vintage Country, bluegrass, jazz and swing standards, and Texas style fiddling.

Then at 3 and 8 p.m. on March 21, Jason Petty will present his Hank Williams’ tribute show, “Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes.”

Petty has received much acclaim for his portrayal of the late country music great through performances in New York’s hit off Broadway musical, “Lost Highway.”

He received an Obie award, presented to off Broadway shows, and several other nominations for his performance.

In addition, he portrayed Williams in “Lost Highway” at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

In “Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes,” Petty, who has brought the show to the Cumming Playhouse twice previously, recreates some of Williams’ greatest hits, including “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Hey Good Lookin’,” and “Cold, Cold Heart.”

Petty also pays tribute to many of the stars that influenced Williams, and later country greats who Williams influenced. All of Petty’s performances are backed by an authentic four-piece band.

The Quebe Sisters will be making their first visit to the Cumming Playhouse with their concert, which backs their latest album, “Every Which-A-Way.”

On their tour, the sisters have appeared at the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and New York City’s Lincoln Center.

They have also performed with Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Merle Haggard, Riders in the Sky and Marty Stuart, among others.
