Erica Scutt, 11, has advanced to the next stage in the national Drive, Chip and Putt Competition after taking second place in her age group in a recent event at The First Tee of Chattanooga Player Development Center.

Scutt, the daughter of Josh and Amy Scutt of Johns Creek, plays out of Olde Atlanta Golf Club in Forsyth County, where she is coached by Dave Anderson, the head teaching professional.

Next up for Scutt is the subregional competition Aug. 27 in Smyrna, Tenn., and a chance to move on to the regional event next month at Sugarloaf Golf Club in Duluth.
