Forsyth County Chief Judge Jeffrey S. Bagley has been selected as the new administrative judge for the Ninth Judicial Administrative District.
Bagley was selected from a council of superior court judges in the 15-county district and will be tasked with directing plans, both short-term and long-term, for the district and oversight of administration of the district court. He will also serve on the Executive Committee of the Council of Superior Court Judges and the Judicial Council of Georgia.
“I am honored to have been selected by my peers to serve the Ninth District as administrative judge,” Bagley said in a news release. “As such, I will promote policies to improve the functioning of the judiciary in the district.”
Bagley is a lifelong Cumming resident and earned his legal degree from Emory University School of Law. He has served as a judge in the state court, juvenile court, superior court and Forsyth County Drug Court, where he has been presiding judge for 15 years.
