Forsyth County public safety personnel will hold a Trunk or Treat event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Central Park.
“This event will be an opportunity for residents to learn how to stay safe during the Halloween season while having fun at the various booths,” said Fire Capt. Jason Shivers. “This is the first time we have held this event, so we are certainly looking forward to it.”
Children should bring something to collect candy for safe trick-or-treating at the park. The event will also feature youth self-defense demonstrations and safety tips.
Included in the festivities will be a contest for the best carved pumpkin. Participants should carve their pumpkins at home and bring them for judging.
Admission is free, but the fire department will accept new, unwrapped toys for its annual Aerial’s House toy collection.
Central Park is at 2300 Keith Bridge Road.
