CUMMING — District 26 state Rep. Geoff Duncan is holding a town hall meeting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cumming campus of the University of North Georgia.

The college is located off Pilgrim Mill Road at Exit 16 off Ga. 400, near the Cumming Aquatic Center and the Georgia National Guard Readiness Center.

“It’s just a good opportunity for two ways of communication, for us to communicate out to the public and also for them to communicate back to us,” Duncan said. “It’s such a digital age … I think face to face is still important.”

If it’s like previous town hall meetings held this month by other members of Forsyth County’s state legislative delegation, the talk could turn lively.

According to Duncan, a proposal to amend the state constitution to allow townships in Georgia likely will be discussed, as will state sales taxes will likely also come up. Duncan is chair of that committee.
