Candy, costumes and safety information will be on hand this weekend at the Cumming Fairgrounds.

On Saturday from 6-9 p.m., Forsyth County will host its seventh annual Trunk or Treat event at 235 Castleberry Road. Kids are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in fun activities and games.

“Forsyth County’s public safety personnel take great pride in engaging with our community’s youth through events such as Trunk or Treat,” Forsyth County Fire Chief Danny Bowman said in a news release. “Trunk or Treat is not only a fun event for the children, but it is also an excellent opportunity to share with families important safety information surrounding Halloween activities.”

Admission is a one family-sized bag of candy per family.

Information will also be given on costume safety, pedestrian safety, stop-drop-roll demonstrations, stranger danger and other ways to stay safe.

This is the second year the event will be held at the fairgrounds.

“The Cumming Fairgrounds provides a great centralized location for this event, and the space available at the fairgrounds also enables us to continue to grow the event each year,” Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers said in the release.
