Two people were taken to area hospitals Friday night after a vehicle struck a man on a bicycle at Hwy. 20 near the Ga. 400 bridge.

Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers said the man on the bicycle suffered serious, traumatic injuries in the collision, which occurred about 5:45 p.m.

The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to North Fulton Hospital in unstable condition, Shivers said.

According to Shivers, the driver of the vehicle was taken to Northside Hospital-Forsyth for evaluation.

The incident closed one lane of Hwy. 20 for a short time.
