NORTH FORSYTH — An intersection near Chestatee Elementary School was shut down Monday morning due to a single-vehicle wreck that left the female driver temporarily trapped in a pickup truck.

According to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Cpl. Robin Regan, a 21-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

She was injured about 10 a.m. when she lost control of the GMC Sonoma she was driving and it overturned into a ditch at Westbrook and Jot Em Down roads.

The Forsyth County Fire Department removed her from the cab of the truck after a brief entrapment. The woman was the lone occupant of the truck.

An investigation into the incident remains open, Regan said, though drugs and alcohol are not suspected.

Westbrook was shut down for about two hours between Hwy. 53 (Dawsonville Hwy.) and Jot Em Down.
