Authorities are saying speed caused a wreck Friday night that claimed the life of a 44-year-old Forsyth County woman.

According to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s report, Lori A. Vlasic of Wyngate Drive died after she lost control of her 1997 Infiniti on Castleberry Road, southwest of Cumming.

The report said the wreck occurred about 8 p.m. as Vlasic was traveling north on Castleberry near Wade Valley Drive.

The vehicle left the road, went into a ditch and overturned, landing upside down.

Vlasic was the only person in the vehicle, the report said, and was wearing her seatbelt.

Authorities do no suspect that alcohol or drugs contributed to the wreck.
