The increase of the city sewer rates is out of control, and I for one would like to hear from other residents to assist in stopping the continued rate hikes.

In the past year, my sewer rate has more than doubled. And I certainly do not overuse or waste water.

In speaking with the city representative today regarding the continued increase, she stated the city and [county] commissioners have increased the rates, with another increase to come, apparently due to expense of the treatments needed at the plant.

I think the public requires further details into what type of treatments create such a hike in rates. Please take a look at your city water bill and compare your sewage expense. This has gotten way out of hand.
