Election turnout not strong

The July 23 edition of the FCN states “Turnout strong at polls.” A closer look identifies the opposite is true.

Only 16 percent of the registered voters cast their ballot on Election Day, which means 84 percent of the voters couldn’t be bothered and stayed home. There is no excuse for such an embarrassing turnout with the opportunities with advanced voting and absentee voting privileges.

This is a very important election year that demands a strong turnout. We must do better in November if we want to take back the country. Are you up for it?
