Rep. Mark Hamilton has turned the corner and become a real politician.
He recently stated in an article in this paper that the defeat of the TSPLOST [meant] the counties that voted it down would be required to pay more of a “sharing” cost for projects in their area.
He said the increase in funding requirements was not a punishment but a carrot meant to entice us to pass it.
So Mark, if one way is an enticement, isn’t the other way, if you don’t accept it, indeed a punishment?
If you want something to pass, raise the gas tax. Don’t try to make a teddy bear from a pig.
