Forsyth Central rising senior Ethan Hankins was named a Perfect Game All-American on Tuesday, earning a spot in the prestigious showcase game set to be played on Aug. 13 at Petco Park in San Diego. The game will be televised on MLB Network, and full rosters can be found here

Hankins, a Vanderbilt commit who has become one of the best pitching prospects in the upcoming draft class, was previously named an Under Armour All-American and will play in that game on July 29 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Hankins is set to be the first player from Forsyth County to play in the Perfect Game All-American Class -- Lambert grad Seth Beer twice played in the Under Armour All-American game but didn't appear in Perfect Game's event.

On Monday, Hankins was named to the 40-man trials roster for the USA Baseball 18U National Team. His draft stock has steadily risen with strong performances in multiple showcases this summer, and he could further boost his profile in events like East Coast Pro and the Area Code Games.
