Bruno was a first team all-county and all-region selection the past two seasons during which he displayed versatile skills running and catching the ball, particularly this past season with the emergence of running back Marcus Chatelain. Bruno rushed for 329 yards on 77 carries and had a team-best 469 receiving yards with two touchdowns on 24 receptions.
The previous season, Bruno led Lambert in carries (151), rushing yards (968) and rushing touchdowns (nine) and also caught 11 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns as the Longhorns won the program’s first region title and state playoff game.
Bruno would join a Holy Cross program that went 4-7 overall and 3-3 in the Patriot League of the Football Championship Subdivision this past season.
